Forms of cooperation with our partner countries
International legal cooperation takes many forms, including exchanges of experts, assistance with legislation, further training and study visits for foreign lawyers both in Germany and in our partner countries, round table events, seminars, moot courts, panel discussions, and conferences.
The Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection will continue to deepen its cooperation activities. The Federal Government as a whole has committed itself to scaling up the provision of legal advice to selected partner countries, partly to promote the reception of German and European law.
We proceed by setting regional priorities, identifying specific countries as potential partners, and then approaching these countries with proposals for cooperation – because as outlined above, the spreading of German law and rule-of-law structures is in our own interest too.
